A charitable organisation
Preserve the past.
Create the future.
The Pure Foundation aims to use music, creativity and cultural heritage to create opportunity, improve wellbeing, support people in need and preserve our history for future generations.
Support the community
Our mission
Four pillars. One shared purpose.
The foundation works across four connected areas. Heritage can become education. Education can create skills. Skills can create opportunity.

History you can learn from.
The Suburban Base archive could form a founding collection, documenting British rave, hardcore, jungle and independent dance music. The ambition reaches beyond one collection to the artists, designers, DJs, broadcasters and communities who shaped the culture.
An Atari ST can show how electronic music was made. A rave flyer can teach design and social history. A pirate-radio recording can start a conversation about broadcasting and community.

The founder
The experience and network behind the vision.
The Pure Foundation is founded by Danny Donnelly, a music entrepreneur, label owner and creative industries executive with more than three decades of experience in British music and youth culture.
Danny founded Suburban Base Records in 1991, building it into an influential independent label of the UK rave, hardcore, jungle and drum & bass era. He went on to create and develop music brands including Pure Garage, whose multi-platinum album series launched in 2000, and Euphoria. His work spans record labels, publishing, radio, events, artist development, film and cultural projects.
The foundation has been conceived to put that experience and an extensive network of artists, DJs, producers, broadcasters, music executives and creative professionals to work for wider public benefit: connecting heritage with opportunity and support.
